Growing Your Internet Marketing Career

November 28th, 2009

You are in business to make money, but you also need to have a product which  will let you grow and diversify into other areas. Your purpose is to make something which a customer will purchase, and also be  enticed to get additional products in that same line.

You  have formed a relationship of trust with your customers, so you should be ready to get them to be repeat  consumers once you have fresh products to offer them in your online store. In order to maked business grow you want to have a good first product to catch the eye of possible  patrons. You want to make a Net promoting empire, and this all starts with one little product that makes an impression on your client s. As  everyone knows selling is a numbers game and the bigger number of folks you have on your marketing list the better  your chance of survival and dominance. Think about your online promoting seed before you plant it as you will  want to be something that may grow huge. To find out how you can get started in the lucrative business check out Internet Advertising Studio.

You need your seed to produce a luxuriant harvest,  so a good idea is to take a look at those other enterprises that are also producing  opulent harvests and see what they are doing right. Once you do this you will need amail list that can reach the masses so they can get information on all your products. You would  like your product or services to apply to as enormous a demographic as it can so you can always replenish your potential seed base. If your first product is one that only  takes attention from a small amount of folk, they would possibly not be inquisitive  about a more broad line of products. An example of this would be if you drove traffic to your internet site to expressly sell  bike helmets, then you might also push traffic towards your site to sell  helmet stickers. After you have successfully sown your web marketing seed you’ll be ready to enjoy p ersonal liberty simply and successfully. The more success your web marketing campaign sees,  the more sales you’ll see and your business will be ready to reap those selling seeds you have  sown.

Although I’m sanctified to be doing well working from my home now, my goal is to create an online  promoting kingdom. God is the king of the dominion, I’m the king, and my better half is the queen, and my daugter is the princess. I would like my girl to go to  college without being worried about cash, or maybe even take over the business  once I have saved enough cash. The Bible tells us that God made us in his image, so if that is right then we just  need to tap into the wonderful gifts He has given us so we too can harvest from a mystical  harvest! Dreams are part of the human experience - especially enormous  ones.  Watching these dreams manifest themselves is inspiring, and this is often done with a bit of  internet marketing. No one can disagree with results  after they see how successful you are.  You have to show them what you are capable of doing.

Another great resource in learning how to earn money online is Zero Cost Profits and comes highly recommended.

How are online news releases better than a traditional hard copy press release?

November 18th, 2009

Companies at one time had to hire professional public relation personnel. This was necessary just to get a press release out there. These professionals would write the release, and then submit it to the news wire. It was then up to the news media to decide if it was actually newsworthy enough to be written. If they felt that their readers would not be interested in the topic, it would be thrown to the side. In the end it was completely left to the publisher to decide if it was worth putting into print. This took the control of the release away from the company.
A company can now control what is released. This is all made possible with the idea of online news releases. There are many marketing tools that one can possess, none is more important than the control of online news releases. It has become an affordable practice for companies to make releases all the time. No longer is it necessary to just release financial earnings or other big company news. Companies also can target their customers instead of just the news publishers. While this is being made possible they now include links their releases to help drive their customers directly to their site.
It used to be that Americans turned on their television sets or radios for the news. This has changed drastically with the advent of the internet. It has been said that approximately 80 million people turn to the internet for their news daily. They search for the news they want to hear. With this in mind, online news releases can be optimized to help drive the customers to the releases. Online news releases can help any company no matter how big or how small reach the audience that they want.
Online news releases are interactive. This is a big thing compared to the old traditional news wires. The news wires are just one dimensional. No interaction by the customer, it is what it is. Online news releases can be in the form of blogs, articles submitted to article directories, and news sites. Customers can choose what they read, and search for what they want to read. If they like what they are reading they can act on it immediately while it’s still fresh in their mind all with a click of the mouse. Simplicity is key to online news releases. Companies will be reaching a vast audience with different interests all with short attention spans. You want to each of them to grasp the idea the same way.
Probably the biggest difference in online releases compared to the traditional news wire is the duration. It used to be where the release would be stored for 30 days. Now companies control this. Most news releases are online forever. No need to re-release any news. Customers can search for and find the news for years after it was released. We can’t forget the cost of the release. Old ways had a high price and fees for all the extras. Online costs are fixed and are kept low and affordable.

Article Directories Help To Get Backlinks

June 27th, 2009

Any website owner who starts down the path of internet marketing will soon discover how many "guru's" are out there all claiming some secret trick to boost your search engine rankings.  The reality is there are a few things to really pay attention to, but most of it really comes down to hard work.  Depending on what keywords you want to rank for, you can achieve success in a week or 2 or it may take months of hard work to get any results.

Asisde from basic webpage SEO stuff to make sure everything is done correctly, the biggest single factor still in your rankings is the number of links and where they come from.  The PR(page rank) of the site linking to you is important, as is the content on that site.  Recipricol links used to work really well (you link me, I link you) but now its really downplayed by Google as a valid method of links.

The easiest way to get links is through article marketing. This is not the path of the least work, it is the best path to get good, long term results.  The setup is simple:

  1. Do some keyword research on your topic.  Pick 2-4 keywords you will focus on.  Make sure they get decent search volume but do not go after stuff that is too generic (meaning it will have unusually large seached volume) - those will be way too hard to rank on in a reasonable time.
  2. Plan on writing 10 - 12 articles of 300-400 words each, using 2 of the keywords with links to your site in each article, with no more than 3 links per article total.  Use the keyword as your link, not http:// type.
  3. Publish 4 of the articles on a major article directory that has good ranking such as Ezine Articles or ArticlesBase.  These have human reviewers so it will take a bit of time to get your article published.Luckily they do not require unique posts that are exclusive, so while you are waiting for their approval you can get it posted elsewhere as well.
  4. Make sure you get some software that helps to spin the article content and links.  Basically spinning allows you to subsitute words and sentences for one another so that you can get a different article from the same basic article.  DO NOT try to use rewriting software - I have seen none that do a decent job - usually it reads like garbage and that will not help your rankings.  If you spin an article right, you can easilly get 10-20 different reading articles from a single article, enough to not worry about duplicate content out there (and possible penalties).
  5. The next step is to mass distribute your articles to sites looking for great content.  You can do this manually for free, or find some tools to purchase that can greatly speed this up.  I usually choose to pay some money in the savings of time.  There are so many things to do, you have to trade off somewhere.  You want to make sure you spread out the distribution - its unnatural for any site to go from no links to 500 links in 1 day - what is more natural is 0 to 10 to 18 to 25 to 40 … over many weeks build the level up.
  6. You should start tracking where you rank on the few keywords you have chosen.  After you have about 300 or so links you should start to get decent ranking.  Some keywords that are not as competitive, much less, and of course, some it might take thousands.Your goal on most keywords should be to get into the top 10-15 in ranking, number 1 is nice but sometimes the effort needed to keep and hold it is not worth it.
  7. In addition to the article work, you can also use social media accounts to link to each of the articles you publish AND also to your main web site. You will also want to make at least one squidoo lens about your site and then use it to link to your site.

Sites all want fresh content on them to improve their quality score.  Most look to articles about their niche topic to keep the viewer on the site and get better ranking.  This is exactly why article marketing works - you get links on disribution sites, webmasters get to search for content to add to their site from what is published.

Tips for Optimizing Your Brand’s Next Marketing Campaign Using Word of Mouth

April 21st, 2009

It is a fact that not all people tell the truth in a review, so it’s unlikely that everything you read is going to be the whole picture. To counter that, especially when in connection with something as ethereal as word of mouth information, listed here are a number of statistic’s and sources that you (if you so desire) can check for accuracy at your leisure.

1. Family and friend recommendations are more infuential when giving out word of mouth information (AdAge).

2. Traffic to a site that posts reviews will typically return to that site nine times, and are twice as likely to purchase from that website than others (source: McKinsey and Co./from Jupiter Media Metrix).

3. Consumers trust friends more than experts or celebrity endorsements (65%, 27% and 8%, respectively; Yankelovich).

4. A Nielsen worldwide study of some 26,000 users in over 40 markets reported that consumer recommendations were the most credible form of word of mouth information advertising within the 70% plus of respondents.

5. The figure is enourmous, 116 million user generated content was made in the U.S. alone in 2008, with an additional 82 million creators of content. With the massive influence of Web 2.0 and social networking, these figures are set to climb (eMarketer).

6. Social network users are three times more likely to purchase a product or service on the strength of a recommendation from an associate or friend rather than any other form of advertising. (the source: Jupiter Research).

7. 86% of people asked said they trust a friend’s recommendation over the experts, with 83% saying they trust user generated comments over a critic’s (Marketing Sherpa).

8. 66% of social networkers are more inclined to purchase because of a recommendation, as opposed to 52% that aren’t social networkers (Royal Mail home shipping tracker).

9. 81% of shoppers during the holidays read user generated reviews before they bought (Nielsen Online).

10. 86% of business consumers read reviews prior to making a buy, with more than 90% saying that they trust those reviews (Kudzu.com).

11. 49% of shoppers reviewed stated that they have made purchases on the strength of reviews. Of these 53% made the decision on the strength of user reviews;48% due to comparison charts;41% bought due to editorial reviews and comments; 58% due to shared shopping lists.

12. Almost two thirds (62%) of home consumers read on line user generated product reviews before purchasing (Deloitte and Touche) with the same percentage stating that they would consult sites with user reviews in order to make entertainment purchases (Marketing Sherpa).

13. 7 out of 10 people who read consumer generated news and reviews are highly likely to share those opinions, which amplifies the impact (Deloitte and Touche).

14. 74% of those surveyed state they base purchasing solely on user generated reviews of their customer service experiences for a product or company (Society of New Communication Research).

As you can see, word of mouth information coming from trusted sources such as friends, consumers, etc. is the most powerful form of advertising.

The Keyword Phrase: Do they identifiy your niche market?

April 19th, 2009

First Page Google Rankings Are Easy

The Keyword Phrase How Important Is It to your niche marketing efforts?

There is much controversy on whether keywords and keyword phrases are still needed. Well if you are going to use article marketing as your marketing vehicle you will need to learn the basics of how keywords work. The key word meta tag my be dead but the essence of what the keyword does for search engines has not changed. Even when search engines base there rankings primarily website or article content they still need to use some means of distinguishing how the scanned sites need to be characterized and graded. , Guess what , keywords play real big into the equation. Why do you think you get penalized for key word stuffing? For example if your were looking for “fishing equipment” , I am going to search on Google using these same two words. You are probably starting to understand the power of keyword phrases. Google is going to go out and find websites or articles that have the key word phrase or similar key words you have searched for. Meta tags my hold no significance but the keyword and keyword phrase are still incredibly important tools to improve your internet marketing efforts.

I have compiled a simple outline below broken into two parts, to help you generate a powerful list of key words and Key word phrases to use in your article marketing efforts.

#1 – You need to have identified what your niche market is going to be. Niches, are a specific market derived from a much larger market. For example if I was trying to market fishing information about crappies, my market would be “fishing” and my niche would be “crappie fishing” My key word list would be based on the words “crappies” and “fishing”. If you have not identified what your market and what products you are trying to sell within that market, do not waist your time writing articles yet. This step is a must do, that is why it is listed at #1.

#2 - After you have discovered your niche market you will be ready to move on and start developing your keyword or key word phrase list. Enter the following link in your browser to go to Google’s Awords webpage and sign up for a free account if you can’t access the keyword tools directly.. .

Here’s a link to their tool: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Now use the following keyword for an example by typing the following word “fishing “ into the box that says Enter one keyword or phrase per line: Go ahead and try it, the keyword phrase results will would be way to competitive and non-specific to have any effect say if my niche market was article marketing. Now , type in the word “crappie fishing” You can see the results are much more refined. Fishing and crappie fishing are only examples, But I think you can see the power of this free tool to develop a list for any niche market. All I do now is down load this list to my pc and I ready to pick the keywords that I will have the best chance to get listed on the search engines with. You will need to pay attention to the two columns “Advertiser Competition” and “Approx Search Volume:” to prioritize and weed out keyword phrases that are too competitive or have a low search volume.

To determine if a phrase is too competitive look at the rectangular box right under the key word phrase under the “Advertiser Competition” column. Look at the box and if the color is green and extends more than half way across the box, delete it or put it at the bottom of your list. I personally have had the best luck concentrating on key word phrases that the green in the rectangle box is less than ½ and the search volume listed is over 1000.

Now you are ready to start writing your articles. {I recommend you just start writing what ever comes to your mind then refine your article, it’s a bit like brain storming and works for me so I can get all my ideas on paper. It has been my experience it is better to just start writing your topic and let your expertise flow into your words before you worry about inserting your key words or keyword phrases.} Concentrate on writing articles that are from 300 to 600 words. It has been my experience that that the search engines seem to like content of this size and people tend to read your entire article without getting bored. And just click on to somewhere else. Once you are finished writing, pick 2 or three of your key word phrases and read your article to see where they would fit best. Pay close attention to how many times your phrases are repeated, it is important that you space approximately 100 word counts between them. You don’t want to get penalized by the search engines for what is called keyword stuffing. Lets use the key word phrase “crappie fishing tips” I could only insert this phrase or any variation that had the exact first words every 100 words . Count the number of words in your article and divide by 100, if I had a 300 word article I could use the keyword phrase say “home based business” three times spaced between a 100 word count. {You can mix up your keyword phrases so each word is not exactly the same but be careful. Of course if you get creative you could vary your words so they are not exact and get even more value out of this same phrase.}

Good luck on your article marketing endeavors ! remember keywords and keyword phrases are very important to identify your niche market when you write articles.

Answers to the Top Questions on Viral Marketing

April 5th, 2009

How do you define viral marketing and what exactly is it?It is an especially effective advertising technique that uses a pre-existing network to enhance public awareness of a brand or service.  It is comparable to word of mouth of advertising, although, in this day of electronic communication, it allows you to reach people all over the world, in a relatively short period of time, for a minimal investment.

It can be combined with other forms of advertising, such as a television ad campaign or a direct mailer.  Technically, any media can be used.  On the internet, a campaign may consist of e-mails, video clips, interactive games, static images, graphics, text messages and banner ads.  Newsletters are used by many companies and charitable organizations as a way to “get the word out”.

Now that you know the answer to what is viral marketing, you might want to know what makes it work.  Traditionally, it would work because one person told their friend about a great product they just tried, something interesting that they saw or a new company that was providing “awesome” service.  Through word of mouth recommendations, the company would attract business to their front door.

Today, surveys have shown that when a single person finds something interesting on the web, they share it with an average of 12 other people, who share it with 12 of their friends and so it goes.  The company name spreads in a way that a real virus spreads, via contact with others.

So, that covers what is viral marketing and what makes it work.  Now, how can you take advantage of this? How is it possible to go about creating a virus? The list is virtually endless on how to do it.

You may want to initially identify your target market.  Who are the people that would be interested in your products or services? Are you a member of any clubs or organizations where you might find customers?  You might consider joining a professional group.  The members of the group could one day be your customers and they could refer your services to their customers.

You might get creative and publish an online newsletter then invite people to sign up for it on your website.  You can pay for a list of e-mails and get started that way.  There are even some e-mail plans that are free.  Try several different things.  There may be one that fits better with your business.

How do you define viral marketing and what exactly is it?  It is a simple solution that can help you grow your business, whatever that may be.

Internet Marketing Strategies

March 31st, 2009

Relevant studies indicate that without smart Internet marketing strategies, business success rates will be a lot lower. Depending on the stage of development, there are several steps to take to make the company grow, and each of the stages involves specific Internet marketing strategies to implement. The basics of this would resume to having a great product or service, creating a web site to promote it and coming up with an impeccable strategy to push it further. With each step you get closer to achieving the fullest potential of the business, with the mention that in the absence of one stage, the others have little chances to develop.

best internet marketing strategies

One of the very convincing Internet marketing strategies comes from people’s preference to create their own product. The good thing is that such an attempt is also possible and doable when you have a bit of talent and some specialized knowledge in a certain field of activity. If you create a product to call your own, this means exclusiveness and no competition at all on the market. In fact, you’d thus be able to give customers exactly what they want or expect. Moreover, if the product appeals to everybody without any local specificity whatsoever, then the customer targeting will be a lot simpler.

internet marketing strategies com

Before the choice of Internet marketing strategies, web site optimization requires great attention: design and support the site around the product. Search engine optimization will work into the direction of making visitors return to the site, because the keywords are the elements that increase the number of customers and not fancy graphics. Therefore, all the words, sentences and headlines should act in the direction of convincing the customer to shop on the site.

internet marketing strategies

Some Internet marketing strategies involve the a site design that imitates a face-to-face client approach. You have to identify the needs for solutions, and identify solutions next, and then move on to how your product will fit in the frame. A clear objective description of what the product can do and how it will work to solve problems will increase the sales rate more than ever. Benefits or product advantages: they represent the fundamental notions on which to write web site content. The rest of the Internet marketing strategies follow afterwards.

Creating a Word of Mouth Blog

March 31st, 2009

Are you interested in creating exponential buzz for your company without waiting months or even years?  If so, you might want to create a word of mouth blog. This is similar to any other blog in that it will still contain online diary entries of whatever topic you are interested in writing on.However, it will differ from a regular blog mainly because it will be designed to promote itself.Specifically, it will have elements that are so easily memorable, readers will feel highly motivated to share it with their friends and family.

So, how do you create a blog like this? Well, it depends on what you’re blogging about.  Some topics are so noteworthy that they create their own word of mouth blogs. For example, a few months ago, my mother was telling me about a weight loss blog that became so popular, publishers contacted the author to write a book on it.  Now, she’s a millionaire, despite the fact she never even intended on creating a word of mouth blog.

Of course, if you can do a little planning before you publish, that will ensure that your blog will effortlessly become buzz-worthy.When I say planning, you should always choose Internet marketing keywords that target the types of individuals who would create exponential buzz.

An excellent way you could do this is to give free advice on how to make money or even save money. However, this is assuming your brand relates to that type of thing.  If it doesn’t, you’re still free to create such a blog.Remember that your conversions may not work as well because your target audience is not really interested in what you’re promoting. Also remember that they will connect such a blog with you as an individual, and not you as a company.

There is one exception here though.  If you’re willing to give a free product or a free trial of something, people are more likely to pay attention even if the blog doesn’t directly relate.  And if it does relate, you’ve pretty much cemented your word of mouth reputation.

As far as creating your word of mouth blog, you can use free services such as Wordpress or Blogger to get you started. In fact, in some ways free blogs are a better selection, especially if you are not familiar with web design or HTML.Through these services, you will receive a blog that’s turn key.  You just have to enter in the content and add any necessary advertisements.

In conclusion, don’t write-off blogs as only a personal pastime.Just because they’re fun doesn’t hide the fact that they can serve as a powerful word of mouth marketing tool as well.

Bloggin Your way to The Top

March 22nd, 2009

Just a few years ago, blogging was considered as a tool to express personal emotions, beliefs, and interests But with the boom in both the number of bloggers and subscribers to blogs, many business owners realized that blogs could be utilized as a tool to advertise and promote their products at a fraction of the cost of traditional advertising platforms. The reality today is that small to medium business can now make use of business blogging as a potent advertising tool.

Gaining Search Engine Exposure: The Core of Online Marketing

So why is small business blogging so important? Exposure is the number one answer to that. If you do not have the money to advertise on television or newspaper, you can always rely on the Internet to give you that opportunity. So that your efforts in business blogging will not to be wasted, it is important that you abide by SEO web design tips, keyword density rules, and the search engine optimization guidelines set by top search engines.

The amount of exposure to your target market on your blog will not depend on how much you money you spend on web design. Since there are millions of blogs on the Internet, small business owners need to know how to gain exposure to their blogs. This is where seo marketing, otherwise known as Search Engine Optimisation, comes into the frame. Irrelevant of the size of your business, you can beat your competitors on the Internet for as long as your exposure on cyberspace is more accessible and felt. In order to achieve this, you need SEO techniques, which includes SEO web design tips, to make sure that your blog lands on the first page of search engines, such as Google, Yahoo!, and MSN, when Net users search for the products or services that you offer. So if you are selling jellybeans, for example, you need to make sure that when a person types “jellybeans” on the search bar of Google, Yahoo!, or MSN, your blog or website will be found in the first page or on top of the search results. The reality is, people do not really check other search pages, particularly those that are found beyond the tenth page.

Blogging With Purpose

One of the important aspects of blogging is for you to build contacts and build an online community. It is important that you keep your blog up to date regularly with contents that are relevant to your business. For example, if you are selling jellybeans, blogging about the children of celebrities might not help promote your business. According to Internet experts, when it comes to the World Wide Web, content is king. Having great content overshadows, in terms importance, having great graphics and a great looking site. If your web site’s content is poor, it will go unnoticed by many people, especially those in your niche market. Thus, you need to make sure that the articles you are uploading on your blog are relevant, accurate, and concise. Make sure that you provide your potential customers a reason to keep on coming back to your site or blog page.

{Blogging: The Quick and Efficient way to Turbocharging your Small Business}

Business blogging allows you to promote your business in an efficient and cost efficient manner. No other type of advertising platform could deliver promising results at very low cost. Therefore, it is essential for small to medium-scale companies to know how to take advantage of blogs. The exciting thing is that even those who do not know about web designing can create web page of their own with the help of web design software for blogs.

Just keep in mind that web users are like small kids when it comes to attention span. Thus, articles that are seven pages long will not really get attention of most people, particularly if you do not know how to make use of fonts, pictures and graphs. With business blogging, however, you will be able to communicate your promotional pitches better because blog posts are usually shorter and more direct to the point.

Indeed, it is important for small entrepreneurs to have a website and a blog for leveraging their businesses. Aside from gaining exposure for your services and products and providing businessmen a cost-efficient way to let their target customers know about their businesses, blogs can also help raise extra income. By using affiliate marketing and advertising, even business blogs can allow owners to earn residual income – which can go a long way for any small business.
